Turbocharged Genesis G80 For Sale In Marlton

Now in its second year as a separate brand, Genesis adds a new 3.3T Sport trim to the 2018 Genesis G80 lineup. This model is powered by a turbocharged V6 and features an adaptive, performance-tuned suspension. According to the Genesis dealer in Marlton the 3.3T Sport model takes the Genesis G80 into territory previously only occupied by European luxury vehicles.

For 2018, the Genesis G80 gets some new features added to its already copious list of standard equipment, including wireless device charging and adaptive LED headlights. Features like these usually tack on a hefty price to the cost of competing luxury sedans.

The Genesis G80 Interior Is Pure Luxury

The interior is handsomely appointed, with the level of quality you would find in Japanese and European luxury vehicles. With the G80, there's no need to spend extra money for a status brand, because this midsize sedan provides all the amenities usually associated with its more established challengers.

As you might expect, the 2018 Genesis G80 is a hit with consumers; but the sometimes-picky automotive press is also firmly behind the model. Kelley Blue Book wrote: "As a luxury sedan, the G80 checks all the right boxes. The styling is solid, if not a bit Audi-esque, the interior is loaded with features, and the engine choices challenge the best designs from BMW, Audi, Cadillac and Lexus."

The 2018 Genesis G80 is a midsize luxury sedan that seats five and is offered in three trim levels: 3.8, 3.3T Sport and 5.0. The numbers for each trim level correspond to the size of the engine.

The All New Genesis G80 Economy Without Sacrificing Power

Powering the G80 3.8 trim is a 3.8-liter V6 engine that makes 311 horsepower and 293 lb.-ft. of torque, mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission that's standard on all trims. The 3.3T Sport is motivated by a turbocharged 3.3-liter V6 engine that generates 365 hp and 376 lb.-ft. of torque. Under the hood of the G80 5.0 is a 5.0-liter V8 engine that develops 420 hp and 383 lb.-ft. Rear-wheel drive is standard across the board, and all-wheel drive is optional.

Safety features that come standard on the 2018 Genesis G80 include a rearview camera, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, rear cross traffic alert, blind spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, and lane change assist. Optional safety gear includes adaptive LED headlights, front and rear park assist and a multi-angle camera.

With Luxury and Power Comes Safety

As if that weren't enough, the Genesis G80 takes safety to the next level, with the automotive industry's first built-in CO2 detector, which pumps fresh air into the cabin when it detects levels of carbon dioxide have risen to dangerous levels.

Crash test ratings for the 2018 Genesis G80 are impressive, with the highest rating of five-stars overall from the NHTSA, which includes five stars for frontal, side, and rollover tests. At the time of this writing, the 2018 G80 has not yet been crash tested by the IIHS, but we expect the results to be the same as the 2017 model, which was designated an IIHS 2017 Top Safety Pick+.
